Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday announced that Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Yadadri will be inaugurated on March 28, 2022.

KCR reviewed the reconstruction works and announced the date on Tuesday. "Chinna Jeeyar Swamy had already fixed the auspicious (Muhurtham) time and date for the reopening of the Temple," he said.

KCR conducted an aerial survey of the sprawling temple complex. After prayers, he inspected the renovation and beautification work of the temple. Over Rs 1,600 crore is being spent on the temple renovation.

The Chief Minister said Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam will be held on March 28, 2022. Invitations will be sent to several Peetadhipathies in this regard.

Eight days before Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam, Maha Sudharshana Yaga will be performed, the Chief Minister said. He said thousands of Rithvikes are participating in the Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam programme.

He directed the temple Archakas that Sudarshan Yaga would be performed at Yadadri with 1000 Ritwiks under the supervision of the Jeeyar Swamy. The CM enquired from the Archakas whether they were getting the pay revision commission.

KCR also announced the gold plating of Temple Vimana Gopuram on the lines of Tirumala temple. About 125 kgs of gold worth Rs 64 crores would be used. Chief Minister announced to donate 10116 grams of gold (1.116 kgs) on behalf of his family.

Earlier, the Chief Minister handed over the handwritten Muhurat letter of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy to Temple endowment officer Geeta and asked her to place the letter at the Lotus feet of the deity. He told the Temple Archakas that Sudarshan Yaga would be performed at Yadadri with 1000 Ritwiks under the supervision of the Jeeyar Swamy.

The CM went around the Giri Pradhakshina steps road and Gopuram and suggested changes. He later inspected the works of Integrated Temple City construction.

In the sprawling campus, greenery would be developed over 50 acres of land. Around 250 cottages would be constructed on 200 acres of land.

There would be four suites in each cottage spread over 1000 sq yards of land. The Yadadrigutta Temple Development Authority (YTDA) will construct these cottages with the money given by the donors.

The donors can suggest a name to be given to the cottages they have sponsored. The CM instructed officials concerned to create all the facilities in the suites for the 1000 families. He also instructed that the cottages should be provided with underground drainage, an uninterrupted water supply, power supply, and all the facilities and comforts.

The CM urged everyone to co-operate to preserve and protect the sanctity of Yadadri temple city and wanted strict implementation of a ban on liquor and smoking. He instructed the officials to allow only vegetarian food.
