Hyderabad: Etala Rajender, MLA of Huzurabad constituency, has been served a notice by the Warangal police in connection with the SSC Hindi paper leak case. On Thursday evening, Kamalapur sub-inspector visited Rajender’s residence in Shameerpet and issued the notice under section 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

Rajender was asked to appear at the Warangal deputy commissioner of police (DCP) office on Friday at 11 a.m. The police have also requested him to provide his mobile phone and other evidence in this case.

In response, the BJP MLA said he will consult his legal counsel and take action accordingly.

Earlier, Telangana BJP state president Bandi Sanjay was arrested for his alleged role in the SSC question paper leak case. On Thursday, the Telangana High Court refused to grant Bandi Sanjay interim relief in the case. Along with him, notices have also been issued by the police to other individuals involved in the matter.

When NewsMeter asked about his arrest, the MLA shared two pieces of advice he had received from KCR while he was minister. “There are two types of rules in the Constitution. Anyone can get arrested anytime, and anyone can be imposed with taxes,” said the former minister.
