Hyderabad: Navarasa, the much-awaited anthology series on Netflix, is all set to stream from today. Produced by ace director Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan, the series is a must-watch. Here are the reasons why you shouldn't miss it.

Even Though Mani Ratnam is the mastermind behind this anthology, these nine stories were directed by Priyadarshan, Vasanth S.Sai, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthik Subbaraj, Karthick Naren, Sarjun KM, and Rathindran R Prasad. With this series, actor Arvind Swami is making his directorial debut. Gautham Menon will also be seen in one of the dramas titled `Peace'.
Powerful female characters
When the teaser of the series was released, fans were awestruck with the female characters. Revathy, Parvathy, Pragya Rose Martin, Aditi Balan, Rohini, Rithvika, Anjali, and Remya Nambisan are part of the series, playing key roles. The combo of veterans and young actors gelled very well.
The series drew attention from the audiences only after the cast was revealed Vijay Sethupathi, Suriya, Arvind Swami, Siddharth, Prakash Raj, Revathy, Nithya Menen, Saravanan, Alagam Perumal, Vikranth, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Robo Shankar, Aishwarya Rajessh, Ramesh Thilak, Poorna, Riythvika, Prasanna, Bobby Simha, Gautham, and others are playing key roles.

Navarasa is a social project. All the proceeds from the series will be donated to those affected because of the pandemic. According to News Today, Netflix has purchased this anthology for nearly Rs 15 crore. Profits generated benefited nearly 12,000 FEFSI employees. During the pandemic, each worker received Rs 1,500 per month.
If you have loved the teaser, and the background score composed for it, then the credit goes to none other than AR Rahman. He is one of the main reasons behind the series being such a huge hit. Besides, Arul Dev, Ron Ethan Yohann, D.Imman, Ghibran, and Karthik. Govind Vasantha and Justin Prabhakaran are also composing different tracks.
