By Coreena Suares Published on 3 Dec 2023 8:36 PM ISTTelangana: Katipally Venkat Ramana Reddy turned out to be the star of the 2023 Telangana State Assembly election by defeating giant leader K Chandrashekar Rao from the BRS and TPCC president A Revanth Reddy in Kamareddy.
The man is being hailed across the country for putting up a fight against two prominent political leaders.
The local factor
What worked in his favour is that Katipally Venkat Ramana Rao is more local than KCR and Revanth Reddy in Kamareddy. He was instrumental in supporting the voice of Dwaraka women and helping them get pensions. Ramana Reddy also spearheaded a campaign against the Kamareddy master plan alleging large-scale land encroachments by the BRS leaders in Kamareddy.
In the last year, Ramana Reddy worked on building community halls, constructing temples, organising religious rallies and financially supporting the Hindu community in Kamareddy.
Connection to Congress
