Take action against sale of Praja Palana applications: CM Revanth says Rythu Bandhu beneficiaries need not worry

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed anger against those selling Praja Palana applications and warned of strict action if the unauthorised sales don’t stop. Prospective beneficiaries of the various state government schemes are submitting the applications during the Praja Palana programme to avail themselves of welfare benefits.

The officials have been asked to make available as many applications as required to the applicants to curb the sale of applications.

The chief minister assured that the old beneficiaries of Rythu Bandhu and State pension schemes need not worry about their continuing welfare and the new beneficiaries will have to apply to avail the benefits. He asked people not to get confused and approach any government official concerned to clarify the process.

CM Revanth Reddy held a review meeting on Saturday on the submission of applications in the Praja Palana programme and on the ground reality of how the schemes are helping the poor with chief secretary Santhi Kumari and other top officials.

In the wake of the commencement of Praja Palana, launched on December 28 in the state, the chief minister discussed with the officials the details of Gram Sabhas held so far, details of applications and the process of accepting the applications during Praja Palana.

The CM instructed the officials not to create difficulty for the applicants in submitting applications and to make them available to ask as many as required. The district collectors have been asked to take stringent action against those found selling the applications.

CM Revanth Reddy directed the public representatives to participate in the Praja Palana programme. The authorities have been asked to ensure that citizens will face no difficulty in submitting applications. The officials have also been asked to provide drinking water supply and tents for people who attend the Praja Palana to submit applications.
