Telangana: 8 IAS officers get new postings ;Amrapali Kata made MD of Musi development

By Newsmeter Network Published on 14 Dec 2023 2:02 PM GMTHyderabad: A major reshuffle in the Telangana government was held with senior bureaucrats being shifted out of their posts and those who were waiting for posts getting appointed.
Amrapali Kata of the 2010 batch who was waiting for posting has been given charge as joint metropolitan commissioner of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and given full additional charge of managing director (MD) of Musi River Development Corporation Limited.
In the power sector, there are major reshuffles:
- Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS (1999), secretary to the government, HM&FW, Department and commissioner of Health and FW (FAC) has been transferred and posted as secretary to the government, Energy Department, with the full additional charge of the post of chairman and MD of TRANSCO & GENCO.
- Sandeep Kumar Jha, IAS (2014), joint secretary to the government of the ITE&C Department has been transferred and posted as joint Managing Director of TRANSCO.
- D Krishna Bhaskar, IAS (2012), director of Industries and joint secretary to Government, Finance and Planning (FAC) has been transferred and posted as officer on special duty (OSD) to deputy chief minister.
- Musharraf Ali Faruqui, IAS (2014), who was waiting for posting has been made chairman and MD of TSSPDCL.
- Karnati Varun Reddy, IAS (2019), who was waiting for posting has been made chairman and MD of TSNPDCL, Warangal.
Agriculture: B Gopi, IA5 (2016), who was waiting for a posting has been made director of Agriculture, after relieving M Raghunandan Rao, IAS (2002) from the said post.
Health: Shailaja Ramaiyer, IAS (1997), principal secretary to the government of YAT&C Department is placed in FAC as principal secretary to the government for the health and family welfare Department and commissioner.
Postings have come after a review of these departments by the new Congress government in Telangana. Those who were waiting for more than a year for postings have now been given departments by the government.
