Telangana Assembly: Revanth attacks KCR over disparaging remarks
The chief minister criticised that the Opposition party is not in a position to answer the public about the wastage of Rs 94,000 crore in the construction of Kaleshwaram project
By Sistla Dakshina Murthy Published on 14 Feb 2024 9:43 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy has made it clear that the state government is ready to discuss the Krishna and Godavari River issues during the ongoing Assembly budget sessions. āHow can the irrigation department officials store water in the Medigedda Lakshmi Barrage where piers were damaged,ā he questioned while addressing the sessions at the State Assembly on Wednesday.
Revanth attacks KCR over disparaging remarks
Revanth Reddy blasted former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for blaming the newly formed Congress government for the Medigedda Barrage issue, referencing KCR's derogatory remarks made about him during the "Chalo Nalgonda'' public gathering.
"I'm prepared to discuss the derogatory comments made by KCR. How can a political figure with such expertise speak about the chief minister? The BRS leader's mindset remained unchanged despite the electorate teaching him a suitable lesson. We are prepared to assign former irrigation minister T Harish Rao the task of managing the water storage in the Medigedda Lakshmi Barrage, Annaram, and Sunindila reservoirs, the chief minister declared.
KCR should attend Assembly to prove his innocence on irregularities in Kaleshwaram
The chief minister criticised that the Opposition party is not in a position to answer the public about the wastage of Rs 94,000 crore in the construction of Kaleshwaram project.
āHow can KCR make disparaging remarks about me without attending the ongoing Assembly sessions? If the opposition leader is ready for a discussion on the irrigation projects, he should attend the sessions and the Congress is ready to continue the discussion till Thursday evening. Instead of discussing public woes in the sessions, KCR is trying to gain sympathy among the people. If the former chief minister has not made any irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project he should attend the sessions to prove his innocence,ā he said.
