Telangana declares 3 days holidays for educational institutions
All educational institutions will remain closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

All educational institutions will remain closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting with the ministers and top officials at Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday afternoon to review the rain-affected areas and to discuss the measures being taken by the state government to prevent any loss of lives and property due to the rains. Many ministers, MLAs, CS and other high officials participated in this meeting.

Meanwhile, a red alert has been issued in Telangana districts on 10, 11 and 12 July. For 10 July, a red alert was issued in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally.
With isolated flash floods reported in districts like Nirmal on Saturday, the IMD also issued flash floods guidelines on Sunday. Some watersheds in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Jagtial, and Adilabad have been mentioned as areas of concern.
The IMD also warned of flash floods till 5:30 a.m on 11 July. "Due to occurrence of extremely heavy rainfall in Telangana, expecting moderate to high risk in few watersheds in Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu in the next 24 hours," read the flash flood guidelines.
