Telangana DGP Mahendra Reddy suffers hairline fracture, goes on leave; Anjani Kumar given charge

Hyderabad: Senior IPS Officer Anjani Kumar will hold the additional charge as Director General of Police (Head of Police Force) of Telangana for two weeks as the current DGP Mahender Reddy is going on medical leave. Anjani Kumar took charge on February 18 and will be discharged from the additional post on March 4.

On December 14, Anjani Kumar took charge as the Director-General of Anti Corruption Bureau.


Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy reportedly had a fall on 18th February afternoon and suffered a hairline fracture in his collar bone. The state police chief has been advised to be under medical observation. In his absence, senior IPS officer Anjani Kumar is given full charge of DGP.
