Telangana Elections: BRS announces first list; KCR to contest from Gajwel, Kamareddy

BRS announces first list; KCR to contest from Gajwel, Kamareddy

Hyderabad: On Monday, BRS President and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced their first list of candidates for 115 of 119 seats for the upcoming assembly polls.

As per the list, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be contesting from Kama Reddy and Gajwel constituencies.

The election candidatesā€™ list remains mostly unchanged from the previous State Assembly elections except for a handful of seven Assembly constituencies. The BRS chief also said that the party would release its manifesto on October 16 in Warangal.


As per the list:

Mynampally Hanumantha Rao, who allegedly revolted against Harish Rao, gets Malkajgiri ticket, and Padma Devender Reddy gets Medak constituency.

Minister KT Rama Rao will be contesting from Sircilla

Minister Harish Rao from Siddipet

Minister Srinivas Yadhav from Sanath Nagar

Minister Gangula Kamalakar from Karimnagar

Minister Sabita Indira Reddy from Maheshwaram

The BRS list of candidates for Hyderabad includes:

Ibrahim Lodi from Charminar

M Sitharam Reddy from Chandryangutta

T Padma Rao from Secunderabad

G Lasya Nanditha from Secunderabad Cantt (SC)

Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy from Suryapet

M Padma Devender Reddy from Medak

Madhavaram Krishna Rao from Kukattapally

Devireddy Sudheer Reddy from LB Nagar

Arekapudi Gandhi from Serlingampally

Danam Nagender from Khairatabad

Maganti Gopinath from Jubilee Hills

Talasani Srinivas Yadav from Sanath Nagar

Mynampally Hanumanth Rao from Malkajgiri

There have been changes in some Assembly constituencies. These include:

Two changes due to deaths

Due to the death of G Sayanna of the Cantonment Assembly constituency, his daughter Lasya Nanditha gets the ticket and Dr Kalvakuntla Sanjay Rao gets the Korutla BRS ticket in place of his father.

The candidates from four constituencies ā€” Jangoan, Goshamahal, Narasapur, and Namapally ā€” are pending. KCR will announce those names soon.

As soon the list was out, it was a festival environment at the Telangana Bhavana.
