Telangana fixes fees for BE, B.Tech courses in 160 unaided colleges, CBIT tops with ₹1.83L

Hyderabad: Telangana’s Technical Education Department has fixed the annual tuition fees for Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses across 160 private unaided engineering colleges in the state.
The revised fee structure will apply to the upcoming three-year block period from 2025-26 to 2027-28.
A quick look at the new list shows a huge gap in what different engineering colleges will charge. The yearly fees now start at a basic ₹45,000 and climb to nearly ₹2 lakh.
Which colleges are charging the most?
Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) is now the most expensive engineering college in the state, with its yearly fee fixed at ₹1,83,000.
Vasavi College of Engineering is right behind it at ₹1,75,000, followed by Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) at ₹1,67,000.
Other popular colleges charging higher fees include CVR College of Engineering, charging ₹1,63,000, G. Narayanamma Institute charging ₹1,62,000, Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute charging ₹1,60,500, and VNR Vignan Jyothi Institute charging ₹1,59,600.
Meanwhile, Vardhaman College of Engineering will charge ₹1,40,000, Sreenidhi Institute is set at ₹1,33,000, KMIT at ₹1,29,200, and Muffakham Jah (MJ) College at ₹1,25,000.
Further, several other colleges would be operating at the government's lowest permitted fee of ₹45,000 a year. These include multiple branches of Aurora’s Technological Institutes, TRR College of Technology, and Netaji Institute of Engineering.
