Features of Telangana Martyrs Memorial

The Telangana Martyrs Memorial is a magnificent stainless steel structure near Hussain Sagar Lake. Designed to resemble an illuminated clay lamp and Chicagoā€™s Cloud Gate, it stands as the worldā€™s largest stainless steel structure.

The outer side features a bean shape made of special stainless steel resistant to rust, corrosion, and high temperatures. Constructed at a cost of Rs 179 crore over three and a half years, the memorial spans a 3.29-acre site with a built-up area of 2.88 lakh square feet.

The memorial consists of four floors, with the first floor housing a museum dedicated to the martyrs of Telangana. An auditorium on the same floor showcases videos related to the Telangana movement.

The second floor boasts a convention hall capable of accommodating 700 visitors. While the third and fourth floors were intended to feature restaurants and seating areas with glass roofs, the top floor offers a stunning view of the surroundings.

The memorial also includes lawns, fountains, and a Telugu Thalli statue at the entrance. It provides a continuous power supply and offers ample parking space in its cellar for 350 cars and 650 two-wheelers.
