Telangana: MeeSeva to expand digital kiosks with new RTA services, PAN card integration
Hyderabad: Telanganaās Electronic Services Delivery (ESD) is set to enhance its MeeSeva initiative by integrating 11 additional Road Transport Authority (RTA) services into the self-service kiosk at Khairatabadās RTO Office, officials announced on Monday.
Streamlining services
The move aims to streamline vehicle and transport-related services, building on the success of the recently launched MeeSeva Digital Kiosks, which have served thousands since their debut on December 8, 2024.
The State is also finalising integration with Protean eGov Technologies Limited to roll out new PAN card services, enabling citizens to apply for physical or e-PAN cards at MeeSeva centres within days.
7,003 candidates shortlisted
Additionally, the Licensed Surveyor Training 2025 program has shortlisted 7,003 candidates for its first spell and 3,028 for the second, with training set to commence at district headquarters under the Telangana Academy for Land Information and Management (TALIM).
Launched during the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu, the MeeSeva Digital Kiosks are operational at five key locations, including Hyderabadās Collectorate and Khairatabadās RTO Office.
These kiosks offer 10 essential services, such as GHMC birth and death certificates, water and electricity bill payments, and reissuance of community and income certificates. Equipped with advanced features like QR code-based payments, high-resolution scanners and uninterrupted power supply, the kiosks ensure contactless, transparent, and accessible services, even in remote areas.
The initiative, spearheaded by Telanganaās IT minister D Sridhar Babu, supports the Stateās m-Governance vision, reducing the need for in-person government office visits. The kiosksā after-hours functionality and robust software have been praised for enhancing public engagement and preventing overcharging.
Licensed Surveyor Training program
The Licensed Surveyor Training program, with applications closed on May 17, targets candidates with a 12th MPC (60 per cent marks), ITI in Surveying, or Diploma in Civil Engineering, aged 18-44. Training fees range from Rs 2,500 for SC/ST candidates to Rs 10,000 for general candidates, with a 50-day program designed to bolster land management expertise.
As Telangana advances its citizen-centric governance, the expansion of MeeSeva services underscores the Stateās commitment to leveraging technology for inclusive and efficient service delivery.
