Hyderabad: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, BRS MLC K Kavitha, BRS working president KTR, and Telugu actors, Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi were among the prominent people to cast their votes in the Telangana election on Thursday.

Polling began for 119 Telangana assembly constituencies at 7 AM, with voters queuing up to exercise their franchise amid tight security. Polling would be held till 5 PM in 106 constituencies, while it would conclude at 4 PM in 13 Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected seats.

There are 3.26 crore eligible voters, including 1,63,13,268 male voters and 1,63,02,261 female electors, in the state.

According to election officials, Telangana recorded a 7.78 percent voter turnout till 9 AM.

Here are the live updates of polling percentages:

At 9 AM: 7.78 % voters turnout



At 11 AM: 20.64%


At 1 PM : 36.68% voter turn out.


Secunderabad Cantonment (27.7%) Sanathnagar (27.5%) and Khairatabad (26.1 %) are urban constituencies with the highest turnout till 1 PM



Yakutpura has the lowest voter turnout (12.42 %) till 1 PM. In 2018 election too, this constituency had the second lowest voter turnout (42.5%).

Charminar, Goshamahal, Bahadurpura and Chandrayangutta are other urban constituencies with low voter turnout till 1 PM.

At 3 PM: 51.89% voters turned out.


At 3 pm, Hdyerabad recorded 31.17 %, Amberpet 34.3%, Musherabad 27.98% and Secunderabad 36.31%.



27 transgenders casted their vote at 191 polling station of Subhashnagar, Karimnagar Assembly Constituency.



Total voting percentage is 63.94%. The lowest recorded since Telangana was made a state.
