Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday announced that the construction of the new Telangana High Court complex will be completed by December 2027.

Alongside the main complex, the State government is also undertaking the construction of 49 courts and residential buildings across various cities and towns.

Foundation stone laid for Zone-II at Rajendranagar

The Chief Minister participated in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Zone-II buildings of the Telangana High Court at Rajendranagar in Rangareddy district. The ceremony was led by Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant.

Several eminent judges attended the event, including Supreme Court judges Justice PS Narasimha, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Justice S Venkatanarayana Bhatti, and Justice Alok Aradhe, along with Telangana High Court Chief Justice Justice Apresh Kumar Singh and other members of the judiciary.

Govt’s commitment to judicial infrastructure

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that one of the first decisions taken after his government assumed office in December 2023 was to build a new High Court complex.

“We have allocated over 100 acres of land at Rajendranagar for this purpose. Construction in Zone-I is already progressing rapidly, and today we are launching works for residential buildings under Zone-II. We aim to complete all construction by December 2027,” he stated.


Landmark project with modern facilities

CM Revanth emphasised that providing world-class infrastructure to the judiciary is the responsibility of the executive. He said the upcoming complex would not only be among the largest High Court campuses in the country but would also set new benchmarks in modern infrastructure and facilities.

Judiciary as the pillar of democracy

Highlighting the importance of the judiciary, the Chief Minister noted that the legislature, executive, and judiciary function with mutual respect and interdependence in a democracy.

“For the common citizen, the court is the final hope for justice. Being part of this foundation-laying ceremony is a great privilege in my life,” he said.

A symbol of justice for future generations

He described the upcoming High Court complex as a symbol of justice and democracy that will serve people for generations to come.

“For the next hundred years, the poor, the marginalised, and the underprivileged will come here seeking justice. This is not just a building—it is a sacred space dedicated to the people,” he remarked.

‘A Temple of Justice’

Drawing a comparison, the Chief Minister said that while constructing places of worship like temples, mosques, churches, and gurudwaras is significant, building a court complex is equally sacred as it serves the cause of justice for all citizens.

Rare and prestigious occasion

Calling the event special, CM Revanth said it was a rare opportunity to be present alongside some of the country’s finest legal minds.

“This is not just the construction of a building, but a reflection of our government’s commitment to democratic values and respect for the judiciary,” he added.


‘A milestone for Hyderabad’

Describing the day as significant for Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said the project marks the beginning of building a landmark institution that will stand as a pillar of public life for the next century.
