Telangana Transfers: Tainted Amoy Kumar posted as Jt Secretary Animal Husbandry

Hyderabad: In another rejig, the Telangana government has transferred several IAS officers.

D. Amoy Kumar, IAS is posted as Joint Secretary to Government, AH,DD & F Department. It is to be recalled that Amoy Kumar, who was a collector for Medchal Malkajgiri, was transferred a few days before the Telangana elections. He was also booked in a threatening case by Rachakonda Police.

Rachakonda Police booked Amoy Kumar for threatening and using castest slurs against the chairperson of Ibrahimpatnam Municipality. Former BRS MLA from Ibrahimpatnam Manchireddy Kishan Reddy was also booked in this case.

Ibrahimpatnam Municipal Chairperson Kappari Sravanthi alleged that Manchireddy took ₹2.5 crores for the municipal chairperson election. She alleged that due to her refusal to allow the alienation of municipality lands, the ex-MLA bore a grudge against her. Collector Amoy Kumar then is said to have called her to his office and threatened to suspend her.
