Telangana: Vaccination slots for students going abroad will commence from 5th June

Hyderabad: Following several appeals from students heading abroad for higher education, the Telangana government on May 30th announced a special drive for vaccination. As a fallout of this, the government has announced to hold a drive at Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM), Narayanguda, Hyderabad.
An online slot booking system for the convenience of these students is being developed and will be rolled out on June 4th , 2021. The link for this facility will be made available at https://www.health.telangana.gov.in Vaccination will commence and slots will be available from June 5th, 2021.
States like Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have so far announced to treat students heading abroad as 'top priority' with regard to vaccination. The Director Public Health Dr G Srinivas Rao informed the High court on Tuesday that, the state so far has vaccinated 7 lakh citizens falling in 'high risk groups' category. They include journalists, delivery executives, auto drivers and more.
