Telanganas Rajannapet village to house Indias first memorial for Covid-19 victims

Hyderabad: Telangana's Rajannapet has become the first village in India to have a memorial for Covid-19 victims.

Built by the Rajannapet panchayat with the support of Project Madad, the memorial will be inaugurated on November 11. Project Madad is a group of Indian diaspora doctors and professionals working to mitigate India's Covid crisis.

The event will also celebrate the success story of Rajannapet village. A recognition ceremony will be held to honor the Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and ASHA workers who went beyond their call of duty to make Rajannapet Covid resilient and ensured 100% vaccination.
