Terror & Talk won’t go together, Pakistan is destroyed beyond imagination: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the nation on Operation Sindoor, declared that any future dialogue with Pakistan will focus solely on terrorism and the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), emphasizing there will be no discussions beyond these issues.

On Monday at 8 pm, the Prime Minister addressed the nation and emphasized that retaliatory action on Pakistan’s terrorist and military infrastructure has only been paused temporarily. He made it clear that in the coming days, every move made by Pakistan will be scrutinized carefully, based on the approach and behavior it adopts.

"India will not tolerate any form of nuclear blackmail. We will take decisive action against terrorist bases operating under the guise of such threats. There will be no distinction between government-sponsored terrorism and terrorist organizations. The world witnessed the grim reality of Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, when top officials of the Pakistani military openly stood in solidarity with terrorists. This stands as the strongest evidence of state-sponsored terrorism," Modi asserted.

Referring to Operation Sindoor, Modi said that the terrorists had desecrated the dignity of Indian women by targeting the symbol of ‘sindoor’, which is why India responded by destroying their terror headquarters. He added that more than 100 dreaded terrorists were eliminated in the Indian offensive.

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the horrific massacre of 27 tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, an incident that deeply shocked the entire nation.

Modi expressed his heartfelt salute to the brave soldiers who displayed unmatched courage in fulfilling the mission of Operation Sindoor. "Today, I dedicate their courage, their bravery, and their heroism to them. I also dedicate this heroism to every mother, sister, and daughter of our nation,” he stated.

He declared that Operation Sindoor represents a new national policy in the fight against terrorism, drawing a clear and firm line going forward.

Pakistan steps back:

"Instead of cooperating with India in the global fight against terrorism, Pakistan retaliated by launching attacks on our nation, deliberately targeting schools, colleges, gurudwaras, temples, residential zones, and military facilities. However, these acts only served to expose Pakistan completely. The world saw how their drones and missiles were no match for India’s superior air defence systems, which intercepted and neutralized them mid-air. While Pakistan tried to attack our border regions, India responded by striking at their very core. Indian missiles and drones successfully destroyed key Pakistani Air Force bases. Within just three days, India inflicted damage on a scale Pakistan had never imagined," Modi stated.

He further added, "Pakistan was plunged into despair following our successful strikes on their terror camps, yet instead of aiding in the fight against terrorism, they responded with aggression. They have now pleaded with us to halt our attacks, a request we considered only after they promised to cease their misadventures."

Modi concluded by saying, "We will not distinguish between terrorists and the states that sponsor them. Terror and talks cannot go together; just as water and blood cannot flow together."
