Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 267 cases of Covid 19 between March 8-15, leading to an advisory from the central ministry of health and family welfare to increase testing and monitor the emerging clusters of Covid 19.
The weekly cases on March 8 were 132, and from March 8- 15, there has been an increase, with 267 cases recorded.

Omicron and its sub-lineages
Omicron is the dominant variant, and its sub-lineages are circulating in India and the world. It is important to continue testing, monitor important clusters and send samples for genome sequencing, stated the advisory from the central government.
Follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour
Wear masks, wash hands and follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour of distancing in crowded and enclosed places. While masks are worn only by a few, it has become important for those suffering from cough and cold to recover before stepping out.
The state administration states that they are monitoring the cases, and vaccination is also being carried out at the public health centres in the state.
Guidelines:
-Adequate & proactive testing
-Monitoring new and emerging clusters of new Covid-19 cases
-Monitoring of Influenza-like illness (ILI) & SARI cases in all health facilities
-Genomic sequencing for prescribed samples of international passengers
collection of samples from sentinel sites (identified health facilities), and local clusters of cases
-Proactive promotion to increase administration of precaution dose for all eligible beneficiaries
