Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh government has decided to accept recommendation letters of Telangana MLAs, MPs, and MLC for VIP darshan at Tirumala.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wrote to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy informing him that TTD will accept the letters of recommendation from Telangana MPs, MLCs, and MLAs for darshan at Tirumala.
Two letters for VIP Break Darshan (Rs. 500 per ticket) and two letters for Special Entry Darshan (Rs. 300 per ticket) will be accepted from each MLA, MLC, and MP on any two days (Monday to Thursday) every week. Naidu also mentioned that up to six devotees can be recommended for darshan with each letter.
Earlier, some Telangana leaders had appealed to the TTD administration to accept letters of recommendation for darshan privileges from the representatives of their state.
On December 16, Revanth Reddy wrote a letter to Chandrababu Naidu and requested him to revive the practice of accepting letters of recommendation for darshan from Telangana lawmakers.
In response, Naidu wrote to Revanth Reddy on Monday to inform him that the letters will now be accepted by the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam). According to sources, TTD officials are making preparations in response to the government's decision to accept recommendation letters from Telangana public representatives.
The recommendation letters may be accepted by the TTD following the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan, which is scheduled for January 10–19.
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy, Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, former MLA and TPCC working president Jagga Reddy and MP Mallu Ravi thanked Chandrababu Naidu and TTD chairman BR Naidu for the gesture.
