TTD approves budget of Rs 5,258.68 crore, plans offline darshan for elderly

Tirumala: The trust board of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Monday approved a budget estimate of Rs 5,258.68 crore for 2025-26.

The budget, a slight increase from Rs 5,142 crore in 2024-25, was approved in a board meeting chaired by TTD chairman BR Naidu.

After the TTD board meeting, speaking to media persons at Annamayya Bhavan along with TTD EO J Syamala Rao, board members and other officials, Naidu said the board has taken important resolutions regarding the management of the temple.




Here are some of the decisions and topics discussed during the TTD boardā€™s budget meeting:

- To look into the feasibility of hiking the salary along with better medical care for Potu workers.

- Approval to provide financial assistance for the reconstruction of temples in Kodangal, Karimnagar, Upamaka, Anakapalle, Kurnool, Dharmavaram, Talakona and Tirupati (Gangamma).

- Decision to cancel the donation passbooks of donors who have supplied organic products to TTD in the past.

- To take up the reconstruction of some of the VIP and non-VIP guest houses in Tirumala.

- To cancel the 20 acres previously allotted towards the establishment of Science City and Museum at Alipiri.

- To identify unauthorised and unlicensed shops in Tirumala and take appropriate action against them.

- Decision to explore the possibilities of offering darshan of Lord Venkateshwara offline for the elderly and citizens with disabilities.

- Decision to verify the feasibility and consider changing the timing of Srivari VIP break darshan at 5.30 am as per the request of devotees.

- To grant six tickets to the family members of TTD employees through Supatham once every three months.

- To form a committee to solve the problems of 151 contract lecturers working in TTD College for 25 years.

- Approval towards the formation of New Agama Salaha Mandali.

- Sanction of Rs 1 crore for the development of Srinivasa Sports Complex in Tirupati.

Before the commencement of the TTD board meeting, the chairman and others observed two minutes of silence to mourn the demise of renowned singer and TTD Asthana Vidhwan Dr Garimella Balakrishna Prasad.
