Tirupati: In view of the huge summer rush in Tirumala after almost three years following the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has made certain changes till 30 June.

In a statement, TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy said it is taking tokenless devotees nearly 30–40 hours for darshan due to the heavy summer rush. TTD has now introduced some changes till 30 June in VIP Break Darshan and Arjita Sevas.

TTD has withdrawn the discretionary quota for Suprabata Seva on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, saving 20 minutes for common devotees.

Similarly, TTD has decided to perform Tiruppavada Seva on Thursdays in Ekantam thereby saving 30 minutes.

“It has also been decided not to accept VIP recommendation letters on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays but allow break darshan for only self-VIPs which will save three hours of darshan time on each of these days,” said Mr. Reddy.

These decisions will be implemented keeping in view the common devotees, providing them with comfortable and quick Srivari Darshan while avoiding long waiting lines and time.
