By Sri Lakshmi Muttevi Published on 30 Oct 2024 2:49 PM GMTTirumala: Veteran media baron and philanthropist Bollineni Rajagopal Naidu, popularly known as BR Naidu has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board.
BR Naidu will lead the TTD Trust along with 24 members. Another member on the board is Sucharitha Ella, Founder and MD of Bharat Biotech. The board members also include three MLAs--- Jyothula Nehru (Jaggampeta), Prashanthi Reddy (Kovvur), and MS Raju (Madagasira).
Art director in the Telugu film industry Anand Sai who has also designed the office room of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and is the Architect behind Yadagirigutta temple is among the board members.

Who is BR Naidu?
Recognising the successful career and commitment towards Hindu religion, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has approved BR Naidu's name for the coveted post. BR Naidu is known for his unwavering commitment to Hindu culture, media independence, and social welfare; he brings a wealth of experience to this prestigious role.
Naidu is the 6th and last child of his parents, Muniswamy Naidu and Lakshmi. After a career with BHEL, he ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing successful ventures in travel, media, and FMCG business.
Who is Sucharitha Ellla:
Suchitra Ella is the Managing Director of Bharat Biotech, which she co-founded with Dr. Ella in 1996. With experience in customer operations, finance, marketing and business development, Ella is a strong pillar of support and guidance at Bharat, overseeing a wide range of operations in the company. She is also the Chairperson of CII ā Southern Region and Indian Women Network. She serves on the Boards of ISB Well Wisherās Trust and United Way Hyderabad ā an International Charity Partner focused on social empowerment in local communities with focus on livelihoods, health and education. Ella strongly believes in corporate citizenship and social responsibility and spearheads the CSR initiatives of the company. Ella holds a BA in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Madras, as well as a diploma in business development from UWCUāMadison, a diploma in real estate management from University of South Carolina and post-graduate diploma in patent law from NALSARāHyderabad.
TTD remained without governing body for long time:
It is for the first time in the templeās recent history that the administration has remained without any governing body for such a long period.
According to the TTD Act, the recess between two board meetings should not exceed three months. In case it is likely to exceed the stipulated time, the government should either decide to constitute a new board or a Specified Authority (SA) in its place for the smooth running of the administration. However, it has been nearly four months since the new government has come to power in the State, but it has not yet arrived at a decision on the matter.
