Two super-specialty hospitals for Warangal, Adilabad: KCR

The CM said the 250-bedded super-specialty hospital will be set up at MGM Kakatiya Medical College premises, Warangal. Another 250-bedded super-specialty hospital will be established at RIMS Adilabad.
CM KCR instructed Principal Secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao to immediately release Rs 28 Crore for setting up the hospitals. He said Rs 8 Crore will be released under PMSSY to the super-specialty hospital at the MGM. Another Rs 20 Crore will be granted to the super-specialty hospital at RIMS in Adilabad. Officials to immediately take measures and appoint 363 staff at the super specialty hospital in Warangal and 366 staff at the super specialty hospital at RIMs, Adilabad.
Earlier on May 9th, the CM chaired a high-level review meeting on the prevailing COVID situation in the state. During the review, the CM inquired about the availability of Oxygen, beds, Remdesivir injections, and other facilities. The Medical and health officials informed the CM that there is no shortage of Oxygen and Remdesivir injections in the state.
They said 7393 beds are available in the government hospitals. Besides, 2470 Oxygen beds and 600 ventilators beds are also available. KCR said Remdesivir injections should be made available to the private hospitals too and wanted the officials to take the required measures.
The CM also spoke to Union medical and health minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and briefed him about the measures taken by the state government for combating COVID. He also made some valuable suggestions to the union minister on certain measures to be taken to contain the virus spread.
The CM also suggested that the super-spreaders of the virus should be identified and administered the vaccine on priority. He said vaccine guidelines should be relaxed so that the cab drivers, auto drivers, conductors, LPG delivery boys, and daily wage workers should be vaccinated on priority. The union minister positively responded to KCR's suggestions and assured that he would discuss the matter with the PM.
