Unaware of his mothers death, 10YO boy in Tirupati sleeps beside her body for 4 days

Tirupati: For four days, a 10-year-old boy lived a normal life without knowing that his mother had passed away. He went to school every day, came back home, ate his food, and slept beside his mother. However, his mother had died four days ago but he thought she was sleeping.

The heartbreaking incident happened in the Vidhya Nagar colony in Tirupati.

According to the MR Palem police, Rajyalakshmi who works as a lecturer in a private college in Tirupati was living alone with her son in the Vidhya Nagar colony due to some conflicts with her husband. On 8 March, Rajyalakshmi fell down and died. "It was a natural death. She had vomited before dying. When the body started giving a foul odour, the boy called his uncle and informed him," CI Surendra Reddy told NewsMeter.

The police also said that the boy's health was not stable (undiagnosed health condition) which is why he could not understand what was happening to his mother.

Assuming that his mother was sleeping, the 10-year-old went to school every day, came back, and slept beside his mother. He ate the food that was available in the house. When a foul smell spread in the house, the boy called his uncle and told him there was a bad smell near his mother. His uncle rushed to the house and found Rajyalakshmi dead. He immediately informed the police.

What surprised the other family members and the neighbours residing in the building is how the 10-year-old boy, who is not mentally stable, managed to get ready for school and ate food available at home. Though the police have confirmed it to be a natural death, several questions are left unanswered.

The investigation revealed that she died four days ago. A case has been registered by the MR Palem police.
