Video: BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay's son caught on camera thrashing classmate; booked

Hyderabad: Dundigal Police have booked Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay's son Sai Bhageerath for allegedly thrashing a fellow student. 00The incident happened at Tech Mahindra University, Bahudurapura, in December. However, it came to light only after the videos went viral.

Three videos have gone viral. In one of the videos, Sai Bhageerath is seen thrashing first-year student Sri Ram for allegedly misbehaving with his friend's sister.

In the second video, Sri Ram is seen saying that the two have reconciled and are now friends and the first video does not make any sense currently.

In the third video, Bhageerath is once again seen thrashing Sri Ram in what looks like a hostel room.

Sai Bhagirath is the son of Telangana BJP president and Karim Nagar MP Bandi Sanjay. He is studying at Tech Mahindra University in Hyderabad. He reportedly thrashed Shri Ram for “misbehaving” with the sister of his friend. It seems that the video was taken by fellow students.

The second video the victim says, “ My name is Sri Ram. I misbehaved with the sister of Bhagirath’s friend. I called and texted her. I proposed to her, which led to an argument between us. He slapped me. But it’s an old incident. We are friends and batchmates. We have left that incident behind,” he said.

However, Tech Mahindra University's Apex Coordinator Sukesh filed a complaint with Dundigal police after the video of Bhagirath beating up a student went viral. He asked the police to investigate the matter and take action.

The action was also sought against those who are trying to tarnish the name of the university. Dundigal CI P. Ramana Reddy stated that they are investigating whether the students have any political background. The case has been registered under section 341, 323, 504, 506, r/w 34 of Indian Penal Code,
