Vikasitha Andhra Pradesh: Chandrababu Naidu announces to set up AI university in state

Amaravati: Pitching for Vikasitha Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today announced setting up an Artificial Intelligence (AI) university in the state.

"Plans are afoot to establish an AI university in the state,ā€ he said.

Calling for Vikasitha Andhra Pradesh, he said plans should be formulated after a thorough exercise on a balanced population and predicted that all sectors will witness radical changes in the coming days with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"Programmes should be designed to brand both Amaravathi and Visakhapatnam as AI hubs. A poverty-free society should be achieved with unique ideas and the latest technology. The vision-2047 for Vikasitha Andhra Pradesh should focus on this," he added.

The Chief Minister was speaking during a meeting with NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer BVR Subrahmanyam, and other representatives who called on him at the State Secretariat. They had a detailed discussion on preparing the document as part of the Vikasitha Bharat-2047.

Chief Minister told the NITI Ayog representatives that the vision of any government should be to transform the living standards of a person from the downtrodden sections. The meeting focussed on the programs and projects to be taken up in the coming days for the overall development of the State.

Chandrababu Naidu shared his experiences, the decisions that he had taken as the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh and the new state, and how they had tried to change the living standards of the people.

The Chief Minister expressed full readiness and cooperation to take the nation on the progressive path with certain special plans. "Andhra Pradesh will certainly take its role in a very active manner to take the nation on the progressive path," he added.

The government should function with a vision. People have experienced the results in the combined Andhra Pradesh and the new state, Chandrababu said.

Besides introducing the latest reforms in the farming sector, Chandrababu said that the policies should be formulated in such a way that they encourage farming without causing any harm to nature. He is of the firm belief that if horticulture-based food processing units are set up in Rayalaseema the farmers in the region get maximum benefits.

He is also of the opinion that the power sector, which is very crucial in the development of the state, will have a lot of radical reforms in the coming days and felt that the systems along with the people should be prepared accordingly. If a 15 percent growth rate is achieved the per capita income of the people will be doubled and thus the Governments should work with this goal to increase the living standards of the people, he stated.

Maintaining that skill development should be improved about the human resources, Chandrababu stressed the need to design the syllabus from school to university level to achieve this. Policies that create wealth should be given priority and documents should be prepared after detailed discussions with intellectuals from the IITs, IIMs, and ISB.

The Chief Minister emphasized conducting more and more meetings to prepare the vision document. The Ministers, Nara Lokesh and Payyavula Kesav, the Chief Secretary, Neeraj Kumar Prasad, and officers from various departments participated in the meeting.
