Visakhapatnam: Eight students injured after lorry hits auto-rickshaw
One student's condition is serious and is undergoing brain surgery at Seven Hills hospital

Visakhapatnam: At least 8 students of Bethany school were injured when a lorry hit an auto-rickshaw in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday morning.
The condition of one student is said to be serious. She is undergoing surgery at Seven Hills hospital. The incident happened at around 7.40 am when the students were going to school in the auto-rickshaw when the accident happened.

The students are from class 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 10th.
The accident was caught on CCTV. The footage shows the lorry hitting the auto-rickshaw.
As per the police statement, 3 students were discharged, and 4 are out of danger. Locals foiled the escape plans of the lorry driver cleaner and handed them over to the police.
Speaking to the media, DCP Srinivas advised patents to avoid sending their children in over crowded auto. Also he requested the parents to send their children ahead of the school time.
