DAVOS: Telangana government has signed three Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) to establish a 2160 MW Pumped Storage Project (PSP), Battery Energy Storage System Project (BESSP) and wellness resort in the state.
Telangana and MEIL ink MOU for 2160 MW Pumped Storage Project
The MoU was formalized during the World Economic Forum in Davos, reinforcing Telangana’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development.
Under this partnership, MEIL, the Hyderabad-based infrastructure company, will set up a 2,160 MW Pumped Storage Project in Telangana. The project represents a landmark initiative with a proposed investment of Rs 11,000 crore and is expected to create over 1,000 jobs in the construction phase, with an additional 250 jobs during the operations phase.
The company will also initiate campus recruitment drives within Telangana to fulfill the project’s workforce requirements. This collaboration reflects Telangana’s proactive approach to fostering investments, which align with its sustainability, renewable energy, and development goals.

Telangana government and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited have signed an MoU to establish a cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System project across Telangana. Under the agreement, MEIL, a Hyderabad-based infrastructure company with a strong legacy of innovation and excellence, will develop a cumulative 1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System across various strategic locations in Telangana. The project entails a significant investment of Rs. 3,000 crores and is poised to create over 1,000 direct jobs and an additional 3,000 indirect jobs within two years.
The Battery Energy Storage System will play a pivotal role in strengthening Telangana’s renewable energy infrastructure by enabling efficient energy storage, grid stability, and peak load management. This initiative aligns with the state’s vision of achieving sustainable energy goals and fostering economic growth.

Telangana government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) to establish a world-class Wellness Resort at Ananthagiri in Telangana.
The MoU was formalized during the World Economic Forum in Davos, reflecting the state’s commitment to promoting luxury tourism and regional economic growth.
Under this partnership, MEIL, a Hyderabad-based infrastructure company, will invest Rs 1,000 crore to develop the resort. The project is expected to generate over 2,000 jobs during the construction and operations phases. The company will also conduct campus recruitment drives in Telangana to ensure local workforce participation.
