Who is Santhi Kumari? The new CS of Telangana
According to the IAS officers, Santhi Kumar is a versatile, approachable, humble, and humane administrator.

Education: A post-graduate in Marine Biology, she pursued an MBA in the US and worked in the United Nations programmes for two years.
She is an IAS officer with over three decades of extensive experience in a wide range of areas viz Poverty Alleviation, Inclusive Development, Education & Health, Skill Development, and Forestry sector. She served the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for two years overseeing financial inclusion.
Posts: Santhi Kumari worked as district collector of Adilabad, Commissioner of BC welfare commissioner in the undivided state of Andhra Pradesh. Later, she worked in the Chief Minister's Office for four years as Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, besides serving as a Special officer in Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS iPASS). She was secretary of Medical and Health department too but transfered during the pandemic.
Prior to her appointment as CS of Telangana, she served as the Special Chief Secretary for Environment and Forests department.
A humble lady: According to the IAS officers, Santhi Kumar is a versatile, approachable, humble, and humane administrator. She is being seen as an officer who will balance and move forward in that manner.
