The survey has revealed that 2022 recorded the highest enrollment in government schools in the age group of 6 to 14 years. Nearly 70.1 percent of children of this age group were enrolled in government schools.  2018 had the lowest percentage of enrollment at 57.4% in this age group.

Telangana: new survey has revealed that 76.2 percent of girls in the age group of 15-16 are enrolled in Telangana government schools. This is the highest enrollment rate in government schools.

Likewise, 62.2% of boys in the age group of 7-10 years are enrolled in government schools. This is the lowest enrollment in all age groups and genders.

The survey has revealed that 2022 recorded the highest enrollment in government schools in the age group of 6 to 14 years. Nearly 70.1 percent of children of this age group were enrolled in government schools. 2018 had the lowest percentage of enrollment at 57.4% in this age group.

READING

ASER learning assessments were conducted in different households. Children in the age group of 5-16 were assessed. The highest level in the ASER reading assessment is a Standard II level text. As per the assessment, it was recorded that 3% of third-standard students from private schools and 6.3% of students in public schools could read a standard II-level test.


ARITHMETIC


An arithmetic tool is a progressive tool. Data shows that among children in third grade, 5.3% cannot even recognize numbers 1-9, 13.2% can recognize numbers up to 9 but cannot recognize numbers up to 99 or higher, 53% can recognize numbers up to 99 but cannot do subtraction, 27.1% can do subtraction but cannot do division and only 1.4% can do division.

In most states, children are expected to do 2-digit by 2-digit subtraction with borrowing by Standard II. As per the assessment, it was recorded that 31.7% of the third-standard students from private schools and 27.2% from public schools could do basic subtraction.

READING AND COMPREHENSION IN ENGLISH

Data shows that in 2022 28.9% of fifth graders from government schools and 53.8% in private schools can read English sentences. The percentage of eighth graders who can read English was recorded as 56.5% in government schools and 85.5% in private schools. As per the data, the enrollment rate was 25.9% in rural government schools.
