Why will I be behind any trash?’ CM Revanth reacts to Kavitha’s claims of feud in KCR family

Mahabubnagar: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday hit back at Telangana Jagruti president Kalvakuntla Kavitha Rao for alleging that he was siding with BRS leaders Harish Rao and Santosh Rao.

‘Don’t bring me into these internal battles’

“Why would I be behind any trash? Why would I stand behind those rejected by the people? I don’t have the time for their quarrels. Don’t drag me into their internal battles. Their sins will not go unpunished,” the Chief Minister asserted.

He was speaking after inaugurating the second unit of ACD Pharma at Vemula in Moosapet mandal on Wednesday.

KCR family paying for their sins

Revanth Reddy also hit out at former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s (KCR) family, remarking that they were “paying for their sins.”

Family feud over “ill-gotten money”

He also alleged that the KCR family members were now at loggerheads over dividing “ill-gotten money.” The Chief Minister made it clear that he had no role in their disputes and urged them not to drag his name into their quarrels.

“They are reaping what they sowed”

Referring to BRS MLC K. Kavitha’s suspension from the party and her subsequent resignation, Revanth said the very nature of KCR’s family was “punishing.” He recalled that they once threatened to wipe out rival parties and sent several leaders to jail in fabricated cases.

“They never wanted others to even dream of becoming MLAs. Now, they are fighting among themselves. They don’t need outsiders to finish them off—they are doing it themselves,” he remarked.

“Rejected like a demonetised coin”

Taking a swipe at the BRS leadership, Revanth said the people had already rejected them. “You are like a demonetised one-rupee coin, time will wash you away,” he said.

Revanth recalls TDP roots

Revanth, who began his political career in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), also recalled his association with the party. “TDP was a great party that gave opportunities to many. Unfortunately, because of conspiracies by a few individuals, it is struggling in Telangana today,” he observed.

Palamuru leading Telangana’s Development

On the occasion, CM Revanth declared that Palamuru (erstwhile Mahabubnagar) is now steering Telangana’s growth. He slammed former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for ignoring the Kodangal–Narayanpet Lift Irrigation Project.

“KCR betrayed this region for ten years. Our government has initiated Rs 4,000 crore worth of tenders to revive the project, but vested interests are filing cases in the National Green Tribunal to obstruct progress,” he charged.

Govt to pay Rs 14 lakh as compensation for farmers

CM Revanth said the government had already paid Rs 11 lakh per acre for land acquisition and increased it to Rs 14 lakh. He directed MLAs and collectors to personally assure farmers that no displaced family would suffer losses.

“If these projects are not completed now, no one else will finish them in the future,” he warned.

From poverty showcase to growth hub

The chief minister recalled how Palamuru’s drought and backwardness were once showcased to foreign delegates.

“Our poverty was displayed like an exhibition. In the future, I want foreign visitors to come here to see our progress, not our misery,” he said.

New projects for the district

- ATC centres to be set up in all 14 constituencies of the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district.
