Wife refuses to cook chicken, man dies by suicide in Dundigal
Their daughter Satwika was suffering from chickenpox. Radhika refused to cook it. This resulted in conflicts between them.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 29 March 2022 4:11 PM GMTHyderabad: On 29 March at 9 am, Dundigal police received a written complaint from Mudavath Gujji (60), a Lambada woman living in Chintakunta Thanda in Balanagar Mandal in Mahabubnagar in which she stated that on 25 March at 9 pm, her son Ratanlal aged 32 had consumed acid and died.
According to the complainant Gujji, Ratanlal and his wife M.Radhika were living in Dundigal. Their daughter Satwika was suffering from chickenpox. Despite knowing this, Ratanlal brought home chicken and forced his wife to cook it.
Radhika refused to cook it. This resulted in conflicts between them.On 25 March at around 2 pm, Ratanlal called his mother Gujji and told her that he had consumed acid. Gujji immediately took her son to Malla Reddy hospital Suraram and admitted him there for treatment.
On 27 March at around 6 pm, he was shifted to Narayana Hospital for better treatment. On 28 March at around 9 pm, the duty doctors informed Gujji that her son was no more.
In a similar incident, a tipsy man was arrested in Nalgonda for pestering police after his wife refused to cook mutton for him on Holi. Naveen of Cherla Gowraram village in Kanagal Mandal dialed 100 not once but six times to complain about his wife.
On the night of March 18, Naveen was angry that his wife refused to cook mutton. An inebriated Naveen picked up the phone and dialed 100.
Police initially dismissed it as a prank call, but when Naveen continued making the calls, the officer in charge informed his superiors, who decided to take action against him. Police traced the caller and the next morning he was taken into custody. He was booked under Section 290 (public nuisance) and Section 510 (misconduct in public by a drunken person) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
