Will not back down: CM Revanth vows legal battle to retain Kancha Gachibowli lands
Hyderabad: Reaffirming his governmentās commitment to development despite legal hurdles, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has declared that Telangana will retain the disputed Kancha Gachibowli lands and establish an IT park there by fighting the case in the Supreme Court, if necessary.
āSome individuals are trying to create obstacles, but the government will not step back. We will fight in court and ensure IT companies are set up on those lands,ā he asserted.
The Chief Minister made these remarks after inaugurating the Late P. Janardhan Reddy multi-level Flyover at Gachibowli junction.
Vision document by December 9
Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy announced that a comprehensive vision document for Telanganaās integrated and inclusive development will be released by December 9.
The document proposes to categorise the state into three zones:
Core Urban: Areas within the Outer Ring Road (ORR)
Semi-Urban: Between the ORR and Regional Ring Road (RRR)
Rural: Beyond the RRR
āEach zone will be developed based on its needs and growth potential to ensure balanced progress across Telangana,ā he said.

Plans for Bharat Future City
The CM unveiled plans for a 30,000-acre Bharat Future City beyond the ORR, which will focus on Sports infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence and IT sectors and Non-polluting pharmaceutical industries.
He said as many as 15,000 acres will be developed as green spaces and parks, while the rest will have world-class infrastructure to attract global investments.
Learning from other metrosā failures
Revanth Reddy underlined the importance of sustainable planning and he said,āWe will learn from Delhiās air pollution, Bengaluruās traffic congestion, and Chennaiās flooding issues. Our goal is to make Hyderabad a truly global city.ā
Green Mobility Push
In an effort to reduce pollution, the CM announced complete waiver of registration tax on electric vehicles, shifting 3,000 RTC buses beyond the ORR and introducing 3,000 new electric buses within a year.
Clearing encroachments to prevent flooding
Revanth Reddy also blamed encroachments on lakes and stormwater drains for urban flooding, stating, āApartments have come up on natural water flow paths. An operation to remove such encroachments is underway despite some trying to politicise it.ā
Nagarjunaās support appreciated
Highlighting public cooperation, the chief minister said Actor Nagarjuna has handed over two acres of land back to the state government after the authorities had demolished the N-Convention centre in Madhapur here, which is jointly owned by him, for allegedly being constructed on encroached land on the Full Tank Level of the Tammidikunta lake.
"The state government had removed illegal structures at N-Convention. Afterwards (actor) Nagarjuna realised and voluntarily came forward and handed over back two acres of land (encroached) to the government. He personally met me and handed back the land saying he wanted to be a hero and part of the development of the city," Revanth Reddy said.

Tribute to P Janardhan Reddy
Remembering late PJRās contributions, he said, āOver 1.2 crore people in Hyderabad have drinking water today because of his struggles. Naming this flyover after him is a fitting tribute. We will also install his statue here soon.ā
Hyderabadās Economic Strength
The CM said 85 Fortune 500 companies, including Google and Microsoft, operate out of Hyderabad, creating lakhs of jobs. āWe have attracted Rs 2.8 lakh crore in foreign investments. People want development. We will keep politics aside until 2028 and focus entirely on growth,ā he concluded.
The flyover inauguration was attended by ministers, MPs, MLCs, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Mayor, corporators, and senior officials. PJRās daughter Vijaya Reddy and family members thanked the CM for honoring their father.
