Tirumala: Calling it a heinous act, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has strongly condemned the prank video shot by Tamil YouTubers which hurt the sentiments of devotees standing in the queue for darshan in Tirumala.

TTD’s stern response came after some YouTubers made a prank video where they pretended to be a TTD employee unlocking a compartment to release a line of waiting pilgrims for darshan. Thinking it is a real official, the video shows the devotees getting up ready to move forward only to see the prankster running away laughing mischievously.

The video which was released on social media platforms has gone viral. A TTD spokesman condemned the video and warned that legal action will be taken against such mischief mongers.

"Usually, the devotees are required to deposit their mobiles in the Vaikuntham queue complex after moving from the Narayangiri sheds. The so-called prank has hurt the sentiments of the devotees," TTD said.
