YSRCP, Congress in Andhra are the same; run by members of one family: Modi in Palnadu

Palnadu: Hitting out at the Congress and INDI alliance partners (INDIA bloc), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday alleged that the grand old party's agenda is to "use and throw" its partners.

Addressing an National Democratic Alliance rally 'Prajagalam,' (the voice of the public) in Palnadu district, the first joint public meeting of NDA partners in Andhra Pradesh after ten years, Modi said both Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh and the Congress party in the state are the same and run by the members of the one family.

PM Modi, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan shared the stage. This is the first time all the three leaders will share the stage in a rally for the 2024 polls. Named Prajagalam, the meeting will mark the first NDA election meeting in Andhra Pradesh in the run-up to the simultaneous Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha polls scheduled on May 13.

Addressing the meeting, Modi said, "NDA has become stronger this time with Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. Both of them are striving hard for the welfare of the state. NDA alliance is for the development of the state, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

"In NDA, we take everyone along, but on the other hand the Congress party's only agenda is to use and throw allies. Today, the Congress had to make the INDI alliance (INDIA bloc) out of compulsion," he added.

"Yesterday, the schedule for the Lok Sabha polls was announced. The whole country says that on June 4 (counting day), it is over 400 (seats for NDA)," the PM said.

Asserting that the NDA's aim is for 'Viksit Bharat' and to build 'Viksit Andhra Pradesh', he said a double-engine NDA government in Andhra Pradesh will ensure speedy development of the state.

"A double-engine NDA government in Andhra Pradesh will ensure speedy development of the state," he said.

He said in the upcoming elections the people of Andhra Pradesh have resolved on two big things. The first one is that people have decided to bring back the NDA government to power at the Centre and they are so angry at the state government here that they have also made up their mind to vote it out (dislodge it) from power, he said.

Modi attacks Jagan:

Attacking Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government, PM Modi alleged that there is a competition among ministers on indulging in corruption.

“Here a competition on corruption is going on between the ministers of the state government,” the PM alleged

Pawan confident of NDA forming govt:

Addressing the meeting, Jana Sena chief Pawn Kalyan expressed confidence that it is the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), of which the TDP and the Jana Sena are partners, that is going to form the coming government.

"The arrival of PM Modi's visit to the State is a big relief for th State which is now crumbling with deep debts and without any development," said Pawan Kalyan.

Recalling the alliance in 2014 formed at the world famous pilgrim town of Tirupati, Pawan Kalyan said that the alliance was announced then with the blessings of Lord Balaji and now again in 2024 the three parties have come together with the blessings of Goddess Kanakadurga.

Naidu praises Modi:

"Our flags may be different but our agenda is common, which is welfare of the people," said TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naid.

He expressed that there is no doubt that the NDA is forming the governments both at the Centre and in the State. "No need for any doubts, it is the NDA that is going to form the governments at the Centre and in the State," he said.

Naidu said that the meeting is a platform to reconstruct the State which will realise the dreams of the people and work for their welfare.

He praised Modi saying the PM has taken the nation to a very high position in the world and soon India will be the number three country in the world in development.

Expressing confidence that the NDA is going to win 400 plus seats in the country, Naidu appealed to the people to see to it that the alliance wins all the 25 seats in the State.

The NDA partners finalised their seat-sharing formula for the Lok Sabha and state polls following a marathon discussion held at Naidu's Andhra Pradesh residence in Undavalli on March 11, under which the BJP will contest six Lok Sabha and 10 assembly seats while the TDP will fight in 17 parliamentary and 144 state seats.
