Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy released the 2024 election manifesto, focusing more on education, women and child welfare and farmers. The manifesto is titled a Jagananna Navratnalu Plus

CM Jagan stated that if YSRCP comes to power in 2024, the new government will function from Visakhapatnam.

Here are the highlights of the YSRCP manifesto:

- Amma Vodi, known as Jagan’s pet project, increased to Rs 17,000 from Rs 15,000. Everymother from an underprivileged background ensuring her children attend school will now receive Rs 85,000 over the next 5 years.

- YSR Cheyutha now increased to Rs 1.5 lakh. 45-60 years old BC, SC, ST and minority elder sisters to be given another Rs 75,000 in four instalments over the next 5 years.

- Rs 3 lakh loan for the eligible beneficiaries under the YSR zero-free interest scheme.

- Enhancement of YSR Rythu Bharosa from Rs 13,500 to Rs 16,500.

- YSR Kapu Nestham increased to Rs 1,20,000.

- EBC Nestham increased to Rs 1.5 lakhs.

- Under YSR Sunna Vaddi, Rs 3 lakh zero interest loan extended for five more years.

- Welfare pensions, which are currently at Rs 3,000 per month, will be raised to Rs 3,250 from January 2028 and subsequently to Rs 3,500 from January 2029.

- State-of-the-art Skill University in Tirupati, Skill Colleges in 26 districts, and Integrated

- Skill Hubs in 175 Constituencies to be established to train our youth to be job-ready

- A paid internship of ₹2,500 for boys and ₹3,000 for girls to be provided while they undergo skill training in the aforementioned institutions, aiding their journey to become job-ready.

- A Startup Hub and an International VC Mentorship Cell to be set up in Visakhapatnam to unlock our youth’s entrepreneurial potential

- Notifications for competitive exams like Group 1 and Group 2 to be announced on a regular basis, with the exam being conducted according to a schedule similar to that of the UPSC

- A World-Class Sports Stadium to be constructed in Visakhapatnam. District level sports infrastructure to be upgraded. To promote AP’s local sports talent Aadudam Andhra to be organized regularly.

- YSR Vahana Mitra scheme will also be applicable for lorry drivers along with auto-rickshaw drivers.

- Rs 10 lakhs accidental insurance cover for lorry drivers.

- An Area with more than 5,000 Dalits will be named as a Special Panchayat.

- Rs 5 lakh accidental insurance for gig workers.

- YSR Sunna Vaddi, YSR Kalyanamasthu, and YSR Shaadi Tohfa will all continue.

-The distribution of housing pattas to impoverished households will continue based on their eligibility, along with the construction of houses.

- Focus on ‘Port-led development’ to generate more employment opportunities and create wealth resulting in the development of coastal regions. 4 ports, 10 fishing harbors, and 6 fish landing centers to be completed at an outlay of Rs 20,000 Crore

- The Bhogapuram International Airport to be completed at an outlay of Rs 4,592 Crore

- Loan limit under Jagananna Thodu now increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 over next 5 years. Bonus limit of an extra Rs 1,000 per year to be given to those repaying loans ontime, raising the total limit to Rs 20,000.

- The government will cover the interest on student loans up to Rs 10 lakh for children of government employees studying abroad until the completion of their course, with a maximum duration of 5 years.

- 3 Cardiac Super Speciality hubs to be set up in Visakhapatnam, Guntur, and Kurnool; 6 Cancer Care Centres to be set up in Kadapa, Kakinada, Anantapur, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, and Kurnool.

- Families of ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and outsourced employees who earn up to Rs 25,000 will now be eligible to avail the benefits of housing, healthcare and education under the Navaratnalu schemes.

- Rs 2,000 Crore as an initial investment to be allocated to transform each district’s HQ as a modern ‘Smart City’ with good roads, drainage, parks, intelligent traffic management, etc.

- MIG layouts for our middle class to be built in urban areas (phase-wise), with an initial corpus fund of Rs 2,000 Crore

- Strategic measures to be taken to elevate Visakhapatnam into a world-class megacity, positioning it as a premier finance & fintech hub of India & the world

- All government employees without housing in their native districts can avail house sites, with 60% of the costs covered by the government.

- Industrial Park to be established in each district through a PPP (public-private partnership) model to boost our local economy.
