YSRCP Narsaraopet MP Sri Krishna Devarayalu resigns; 3rd leader to put in papers in 15 days
Devarayalu has raised several matters of local importance including the maintenance of the Srisailam Dam and few other issues

Devarayala is the third MP of the ruling party to put in papers in the last 15 days.
Known for his passionate representation of the people of Andhra Pradesh and Guntur district, he has raised several matters of local importance including the maintenance of the Srisailam Dam, compensation to chili farmers devastated by thrips, and illegal siphoning of Krishna river water.
In a press meeting held on Tuesday, Devarayalu stated that he wanted to end the confusion over the contesting candidate.
"In the last few days, there was a discussion among leaders that the party would be giving the ticket to another leader, possibly to field a BC candidate from the constituency. So I decided to resign", said Devarayalu.
Though there are speculations that he is likely to join TDP, he hasn't currently revealed his plans.
Krishna Devarayalu who served as the Member of 17th Lok Sabha representing Narasaraopet constituency. He contested and won the 2019 polls from Narasaraopet Constituency. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of Vignan University.
Krishna won the seat by securing a vote share of 51.83% and by a margin of 1,53,978 votes.
Krishna has spoken in Parliament on a range of legislation including the Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, National Medical Commission Bill, Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, and Central Universities (Amendment) Bill. He also raised various issues of public importance in Parliament. These include the demand for establishing a Chilli Board in Guntur and the Construction of the Varikapudisala Lift Irrigation Project in Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier this month, YSRCP MP from Kurnool Sanjeev Kumar announced his resignation from the party and also his Lok Sabha membership, saying that he could not do anything for the development of Kurnool in the last four and a half years.
Vallabhaneni Balashowry, MP from Machilipatnam, quit YSRCP apparently after getting signals from party chief and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy that he wonāt get ticket in the upcoming general elections
