YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Masthan Rao’s daughter held in hit and run case in Chennai

Hyderabad: YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao’s daughter Madhuri was arrested for allegedly running over a man sleeping on a pavement in Besant Nagar, Chennai. Madhuri was later granted bail, the police said. The accused Madhuri is 33-year-old.
The victim Surya (24) was a painter by profession. Police said that Surya was drunk and sleeping on the platform when the incident happened. The funeral was held on Tuesday.
The victim got married eight months ago and left behind a widow. A case has been registered at J-5 Shastri Nagar Police Station in Besant Nagar.
It was a hit-and-run case, the police determined. Upon reviewing the CCTV visuals, the MP’s daughter was arrested. The car is registered in Pondicherry under the name of BMR group of which Rao is the chairman.
