Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested the realtor-turned-TRS leader Madhu Yadav, accused of sexually harassing a teeanager working as a domestic help in his house and forcing her to end life at Moinabad four days ago.
Police also slapped charges of rape against Madhu Yadav. Following allegations that Madhu had killed the girl and then hanged her to the ceiling fan at his duplex house, police are also probing the murder angle.
“We will be able to reveal the exact cause of death only after post-mortem report is out,” said the investigating officials.
Meanwhile, villagers squatted, in a large number, on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway till late on Sunday night demanding justice to the victim and her younger sister, who was also a domestic help in the same house. The protest, which continued till late night on Sunday, resumed on Monday morning, as hundreds of people from the village joined the protest.

The protest led to a traffic jam with vehicles getting stranded for around 3 km on the highway. The villagers alleged that the TRS leader took advantage of the poverty of the girls and hired them as domestic helps after their mother passed away. In the pretext of lending a helping hand, he exploited them.
They alleged that he could have been sexually exploiting the victim for a long time but she did not speak about it. They alleged that he could have threatened her and asked her not to tell her sister anything about him.
Meanwhile, the younger sister revealed how Madhu would come to them in an inebriated condition and take her sister to his room for hours together, while she waited outside not knowing what happened inside.

“On the fateful night too, he came to us heavily drunk, abused us and took my sister into his room. When I went behind, he shouted at me saying that he has some work, after which I came back and slept in my place,” said the victim’s younger sister.
The villagers demanded that a murder case should be registered against the TRS leader and that a punishment similar to that given to the accused in the kidnap, rape and murder of a veterinarian at Shamshabad in 2019, be awarded to Madhu Yadav.
