TRS MLA Rohith Reddy's brother accused of attacking Rahul Sipligunj

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police, which is investigating the attack on Bigg Boss 3 winner and Tollywood singer Rahul Sipligunj, have identified the attackers as Riteesh Reddy, the brother of TRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy, and his four friends. The police have also formed two special teams to arrest them. Also, Riteesh had reportedly approached the police alleging that Rahul had first abused them.

Teams from Gachibowli police station of Cyberabad commissionerate visited the Prism Pub and retrieved the CCTV footage of the incident. Mr Riteesh’s friends have been identified as Ravi, Kumar, Shafi, and Kannu. Inquiries so far revealed that on Wednesday night, Mr Sipligunj was at Prism Pub in Gachibowli along with four friends, including two women. While they were on the dance floor, Mr Riteesh and his friends entered the pub. The singer and his friends were dancing when Mr Riteesh walked past them and brushed aside Mr Sipligunj.

When the latter confronted him an argument broke out between them. In the process, Mr Riteesh became aggressive and started abusing the singer. Further, he and his friends allegedly misbehaved with Mr Sipligunj's women friends which led to a brawl. Mr Riteesh and his friends attacked the singer with beer bottles, causing injuries to his head and nose.
