Truck driver’s charred body sent shivers across Vizag city

Visakhapatnam: People woke up to horror on Monday when a charred body of a middle-aged man was found dumped on a roadside at Srinagar in Gajuwaka of Vizag city.
Police rushed to the spot and identified the deceased as Narasinga Rao, a truck driver and a native of the Nalgonda area of Telangana. An empty petrol bottle was also found near the body.
However, police are yet to ascertain whether it is a suicide or murder.
Locals said that the charred body was found near the scrap shops. Locals said illegal activities have been taking place near the scrap shops at the Srinagar area for the past few months.
Police shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy. Police said they have registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC (Suspicious Death) and the investigation is on to establish the exact causes of death.
Since the incident took place in the early hours on Monday, police are also susplpecting that it may not be a case of suicide. Police are scanning the CCTV footage near the crime scene.
