Telangana RTC staff steers the spiritual route

Hyderabad: The striking TSRTC employees and JAC leaders met Chinajeeyar Swamy and briefed him about the ongoing strike, which entered its 26th day, and their problems. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is a firm believer in Hinduism and is a secular CM. Chinajeeyar Swamy is a Hindu spiritual guru of KCR, tsrtc staff meet with Chinajeeyar Swamy and the Swamy’s followers include a majority of people from the Velama community in Telangana. Considering this, perhaps, Telangana RTC staff meet him to convey their problems to the Chief Minister.

Several Telangana from bus depots at Rajendranagar and Maheswaram and JAC leaders met the Swamy at his Ashram located at Muchinthal in Rajendranagar Mandal. The meeting took place hours before the Sakala Janabheri meeting at Saroornagar.

“We briefed Chinajeeyar Swamiji about our problems. We told him that we had not received the salary for September. Our families are suffering and couldn’t celebrate Dussehra and Diwali. However, TSRTC employees on srtike due to the TRS government is neglecting the strike and our problems. We also told the Swamiji that we are demanding not only a salary hike but also the protection of the public transport corporation,” said an employee.

Meanwhile, AP Transport Minister Perni Nani has clarified that the YSRCP government is firm on merging TSRTC employees on strike with the state government. Responding to a recent opinion by KCR about the APSRTC merger with the state government, Nani said that his statement strengthened their will on the merger decision.

“We have taken what KCR said positively. Telangana CM had told to wait until and see what happens when we submitted our report. The YSRCP government will complete the merger process within the stipulated period. We’re seeing what’s happening in Telangana. Our chief minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has taken a brave step to merge TSRTC employees on strike with the state government.
