TSSPDCL officer caught red-handed while taking bribe of Rs. 25,000

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-corruption Bureau continued searches at the residence of TSSPDCL Divisional engineer of Cybercity circle Mutyam Venkataramana. He was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a victim. The victim had approached him to.process and forward the electrical estimation work file related to an apartment.
Further searches were conducted at his residence at a luxurious flat located at Meenakshi Sky Longue, Madhapur.
During the searches which continued till late night, ACB officials unearthed documents worth over Rs 2.93 crores, cash Ra 26.40lakhs, 60 tolas of gold articles, eight costly watches, five digital cameras and two cars.
Officials said he would be produced before the special court for ACB cases. Further, they will seek his custody from the court for more investigation into his assets amassed through illegal means.
