TTD approves Rs.3,309 Crore budget for 2020-21

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust has approved Rs.3,309 crore budget for the financial year 2020-21. In the board meeting convened on Saturday, the TTD Chairman, Y V Subba Reddy released the new Panchangam for the coming Telugu Year ā€˜Sarvariā€™. The TTD has decided to allot Rs.3,30 crore for the measures to prevent fire accidents in ā€˜Bundi Potuā€™, and also decided to set up a training residential hostel for differently-abled people, with Rs.14 Crore, near the Zoo Park in Tirupathi.

Additionally, the trust has allotted Rs 34 crore to build a hostel for the S.V. Blind School and has decided to allot Rs.8.5 crore to the development of BIRD hospital. The Board has also decided to allot Rs.3.9 crore to build Padmavathi Temple in Chennai and approved the proposals to build Pushkarini, Kalyana Mandapam, and Vahana Mandapam at the TTD Temple, in Jubilee Hills, in Hyderabad.

In the tech sector, TTD decided to set up a cybercrime wing to address the malignation propaganda against TTD in social media, and Infosys has promised to extend its technical support to this project. Meanwhile, TTD has decided to enhance the toll fee at Alipiri for all the vehicles. It will be Rs.50 for Cars and Jeeps, Rs.100 for Buses and Lorries, and Rs.200 for heavy vehicles. However, two-wheelers are exempted from paying toll fee at Alipiri.
