TV5 news channel office attacked yet again, glass facade damaged

Hyderabad: For a second time in the last two months, the TV5 news channel office located at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, was attacked on Saturday morning. Two unidentified men riding on a bike hurled stones at the office, damaging the glass facade of the building.

This morning, the motorists hurled stones on the building and zipped past by the stretch. Even before the security staff could chase them, they fled the place and disappeared into the traffic. The channel staff approached the Jubilee Hills police station and lodged a complaint. A case has been registered against unidentified persons and investigation has begun.

Police started analysing the CCTV cameras fixed at the channel premises and also en route.

On May 8, a drunk man walking by the main road in front of the office hurled stones at the office. Initially, it was suspected to be an act of miscreants on mediapersons. However, amidst rumours and pressure from media organisations, police using CCTV camera footage identified the attacker and nabbed him. The attacker, Chiranjeevi, was in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident and he even regulated the traffic for sometime at the Jubilee check post after the incident.
