Two AP couples name their newborn Corona Kumari and Corona Kumar

Kadapa: The pandemic caused by Coronavirus may have brought the world to a standstill, But it has also given two couples in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh to name their newborns as Corona Kumar and Corona Kumari, respectively.

Notably,when the entire globe is dreading over the Coronavirus rather afraid to hear the name, these two couples with the advice of their respective doctor,have named their children as Corona, symbolising triumph over hardships as the boy and girl were born during the ongoing lockdown -enforced to curtail the spread of the virus.

Ms.Ramadevi from Alireddipalle and Sashikala from Tallapalle area, both from Kadapa district of AP, were admitted to Basha Hospital in Vempalli Town with labour pains a few days ago.

While Ramadevi give birth to a baby boy, Sashikala was been blessed with a baby girl on Sunday.The couple have named their babies after the Virus, in consultation with the doctors.

'Their names, would remind everyone of the the hardships, the world went through during the COronaoutbreak . The two will remain as a symbol of vitcory over hardship. Earlier, there have been such instance in the past, When America's first space station crashed into the ocean, babies born owing that time were name sklylab' said a doctor.

The two new mothers have not faced difficulty during their delivery. However, The relatives of the two couples could not make it to the hospital owing to the restrictions.

It may be recalled that a Raipur-based couple in Chhattisgarh named their newborn twins as Corona and Covid, a few days ago.
