Two B.Tech students held for uploading classmate’s nude photos on social media in Guntur

Guntur: The Guntur police, on June 27, arrested two engineering students for posting nude photos of a classmate on social networking platforms.

The arrested have been identified as Varun and Kaushik. The duo also allegedly threatened the girl and sexually assaulted her.

The police said that Varun and Kaushik offered a sedative laced soft drink to the girl and they filmed the nude photos and videos of the girl in 2017.

The duo uploaded a few nude photos and videos of the girl on the social networking platforms in the year 2017, and later they deleted the photos.

However, the duo continued to threatened the girl saying that they will upload the nude photos on social networking platforms again. This happened after the student befriended another boy in the engineering college.

Upset with the harassment of the duo, the girl along with her family members lodged a complaint with Disha police station.

Superintendent of Police (Guntur Urban) RN Ammi Reddy said that they have registered a case against the two students under relevant Sections and arrested the duo. The police are investigating the case to nab few others in connection with the case.
