Two Tiktokers end lives after family deny consent for marriage in Guntur

Guntur: Two Tik Tokers, who were in a relationship, allegedly ended their lives after the girl’s family denied consent for their marriage at the Machayyapalem area under Bellamkonda Mandal in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.

Identified as 20-year-old Pawan Kumar of Mangalagiri and 18-year-old Sylaja of Tirupati, both used to post videos on the TikTok.

The couple has been staying in a rented house at Machayyapalem in Guntur district for the past few months. In a note, they blamed Sylaja's family members for forcing them to take the extreme step.

Bellamkonda police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to a government hospital for autopsy. Police have registered a case and the investigation is on.
